Advanced GCE in German

UPDATED 20161019 15:01:22

A Level German helps students develop confident, effective communication skills in German and a thorough understanding of the culture of countries and communities where German is spoken. It develops an interest in, and enthusiasm for, language learning and encourages students to consider their study of the language in a broader context. This four unit specification requires students to develop their ability to write and speak in German with accurate grammar and syntax for a range of purposes and to understand written or spoken German in a variety of contexts and genres. The students also have the opportunity to take part in a week long work experience in Germany as part of an exchange programme. This course is particularly suitable for students who have studied GCSE German and gained at least a B grade, and who wish to study German at a higher level.
