This course allows students to develop an understanding of both the breadth and depth of history available to them. By studying units that span over 900 years students are able to draw conclusions and develop key skills of historical understanding and interpretation. A Level Civil Rights and Race Relations in the USA 1850-2009 - Paper Three is a modern world history unit that explores the fundamental role race has played in America's history. Independent coursework - Focusing upon an aspect of Germany in the 20th Century, beginning with an overview of Germany's turbulent history, before students select their own topic and era to specialise upon.
