The world of IT is expanding exponentially. What we aim to offer you on this course is an insight into this world, the opportunity to use IT to solve problems, learn about computer systems and work with clients in real business situations. You will explore the use of a wide range of software and systems. A2 Level Use and Impact of ICT (30%) - This section is about the use and impact of Information and Communication Technology. This is assessed by means of an exam. Students will look at areas such as Networks, Social issues, Human Computer Interaction and legal issues surrounding ICT. Relational Database Project (20%) - This unit requires students to produce a relational database project. The database project does not have to be based in an actual commercial context, but students will be encouraged to develop a realistic system.
