This is a mixed ability course in watercolour to develop further painting skills and techniques., , Students will be able to:, , 1.Control and utilise a wide range of watercolour pencils to show understanding of mark making, linear/ mark making within a composition, 2. Successfully show competent application of art related mediums and there usage, e.g., masking fluid., 3. Use and control paints with a range of brushes and tools, via mixing and application. Using successful watercolour mixing methods, 4.Successfully employ the work of other as an inspirational means( viewing and working from contemporary and past influences), 5. A. Introduction to health and safety via hand-outs and safe working practises'. Discussion in relation to controlled use of equipment in studio environment, plus additional hazards. Placement of bags, drinks etc,

Entry requirements

If you are a new student and have no materials please wait for your tutor's advice on what to buy. However, all students should bring an A4 sketchbook of good quality cartridge paper, preferably with a hard cover and ring bound and a variety of pencils., , You will need to provide your own materials and these will vary in cost according to the course requirements. Some of our centres have their own 'shops' where you are able to buy things at competitive prices., , If you have any materials/equipment that might be appropriate please bring them with you.
