Pottery - Beginners

This course introduces the main handbuilding clay construction methods - pinching, coiling and slabbing. There is a strong emphasis on personal skill development, including the designing, decorating and glazing of work. Students will work on projects with professional advice and guidance from the tutor., , By the end of this course you should be able to:, Use hand-building techniques to produce ceramic forms. , Use a range of decoration and glazing techniques., Design and make ceramic forms, applying the skills you have learnt, Work to relevant Health and Safety guidelines., , There is no homework requirement for this course. Beginners and those with experience.It is important to note that craft courses are practical and require a degree of manual dexterity.
