Painting - Next Steps

This course is a continuation of the "Start Painting" course and is ideal for those who attended this course and for students with a little prior knowledge who wish to build on their skills in a structured way. Studying stimulating past and contemporary painters, you will work with a variety of subject matter and employ different methods of painting. As you improve your core skills you will gradually identify your own interests and direction for further work., , By the end of this course, you should be able to:, , • Use colour with more confidence , • Create balanced compositions, • Construct form with tone and colour from observation, • Select/make source materials to use in your own research, • Develop your ability to evaluate your own work, , There will be a little 'light' homework. There is no qualification for this course., There is limited parking on site, but there is a public car park nearby and on-street parking. This course is suitable for beginners and those who have a little experience.
