Contemporary Collage and Mixed Media

On this course you will have fun experimenting with paint, collage and print to create striking, original artworks of your own design. You will be taught how to effectively combine different materials and processes and develop ideas and themes in your artwork. You will draw inspiration from a varied and interesting selection of primary and secondary resources and encouraged to bring your own areas of interest to the sessions., , By the end of the course you should be able to, , • Design and make your own printing block, • Experiment with different methods and materials, • Develop ideas through collage, • Recognise and respond to the work of artists covered in the course, , There is no set 'homework', but you are welcome to practise and do further work at home., There is no qualification for this course., , There is limited parking on site, but there is a public car park nearby and on-street parking. This course is for anyone who thinks that they might enjoy an experimental approach to printmaking and painting and wants to have a go. It is suitable for beginners and those with a little experience.

Entry requirements

If you are a new student and have no materials please wait for your tutor's advice on what to buy. You will need to provide your own materials and these will vary in cost according to the course requirements. Please do not buy anything especially for the course before it starts.
