Flower Painting

This course offers a range of experience, from the carefully examined botanical to the more painterly and expressive. The main features of either approach are strength in drawing, colour handling and composition. In discussion with students, there is some experimentation with other media. There is a secondary interest and experience in the design and putting of images to print (digital), mostly in the form of cards., , By the end of this course you should be able to:, • Apply skills in observational study using paint., • Use line, tone, texture and colour as expressive and descriptive elements , • Confidently select and simplify, complex forms, • Develop personal compositions and Interpretations, using other artists as inspiration., , There is no set 'homework', but you are welcome to practise and do further work at home., There is no qualification for this course., , , , There is limited parking on site, but there is a public car park nearby and on-street parking. This course is suitable for those with some drawing and paintiing experience, but beginners with confidence and enthusiasm are also welcome.
