Come and learn how to make a piece of jewellery without the use of a torch. By not using heat a wide variety of materials become available to you in jewellery making - plastic, paper, textiles, wood., Learn different ways of joining metal and other materials using a variety of rivets, tabs, pins, rings, bezels and adhesive., By the end of the course you should be able to:, Make and use jump rings, Pierce metal and use tab connections, Make and use rivets, Safely use epoxy adhesive, Complete a pendant or earrings with cold connections, Be aware of and work to health and safety guidelines, , Some knowledge of piercing and drilling sheet metal would be useful., , This course is aimed at complete beginners or people who have had a little experience in jewellery making but would like a refresher day., It is important to note that craft courses are practical and require a degree of manual dexterity.

Entry requirements

You need to wear old clothes that can or may get dirty as this course is taught in a fully equipped jewellery and silversmithing workshop. Please do not wear any jewellery that could get in the way of machinery (ie bangles, necklaces). Please have long hair tied back or up. You may wish to bring along a notebook and pen to take notes during the course.
