Drawing and Painting - Improvers

The course is designed to expand your art knowledge and techniques, developing further skills through a range of weekly tutored sessions. You will have the opportunity to experience a range of materials or explore and develop a particular medium or application, for example watercolour, acrylic paints, pastels or charcoal drawing. The course will also include personal projects, allowing you the time to develop and interpret your own creative ideas.. Anyone wishing to develop their drawing and painting skills in a range of media who are not a complete beginner., It is important to note that Art courses are practical and require a degree of manual dexterity. If you need to bring a carer with you, or be accompanied by another person, please ask to speak to the Programme Manager before you enrol.

Entry requirements

You should bring an A4 sketchbook of good quality cartridge paper, preferably with a hard cover and ring bound and a variety of pencils to the first session. You will need to provide your own materials and these will vary in cost according to the course requirements. If you have any materials/equipment that might be appropriate please bring them with you but other than the sketchbook please wait for the tutor's advise regarding buying equipment.
