Drawing and Painting - Masterclass

UPDATED 20161018 12:19:31

An advanced course in which students will use still-life, portraiture and landscape to study how selected artists use colour, composition and application. Students will then apply aspects of their findings to their own work. Projects will be set which allow students to interpret them in accordance with their own ideas and interests. One hour lunch break. This course will be based around a transcription project. These courses are not suitable for those new to art, instead promoting self directed learning at a higher level. Suitable for experienced artists who wish to stretch their imagination and make intuitive and stimulating work as well as those progressing from intermediate and advanced art classes. Students should have a good working knowledge of all art materials and how to apply them. This course is not for the beginner. If you are not sure if this course is suitable for you, the programme manager will be happy to advise you.
