Students need to provide their own plant material i.e. foliages and accessories. Good scissors and secateurs, a notebook and pen, a table covering together with a camera/phone for recording your work. , We will be making a swag of about one metre in length. Besides the twine and the binding wire/s (available at minimal cost), the main component of the design is foliage. Listed below are some suggestions though do bring what is available to you., Foliage Suggestions: with consideration to a variety of shapes and textures:-, Conifer all varieties and colours, Needled Foliages such as Pine/Blue Spruce, Holly (Ilex) variegated and plain with or without berries, beware some hollies are very prickly! Ivy (Hedera helix) - variegated, plain and/or Berried Tree ivy, Eucalyptus, Viburnam Tinus plain flowered or berried. Preserved foliages , Seasonal Decorative Suggestions: Ribbon.
