The BTEC National Subsidiary Diploma/Extended Certificate in Sport is equivalent to one A level and is studied for two years. The Diploma is equivalent to two A Levels and the Extended Diploma is equivalent to three A Levels. Throughout the course students will complete a number of units as coursework. These will include topics such as Coaching and Fitness Testing. Students will sit written exams in Sport and Exercise Physiology and Functional Anatomy. Two controlled assessments covering Sport Psychology and Nutrition will also need to be completed. BTEC National in Sport will open many doors which include points towards university or jobs in the Sports Industry such as a Sports Development Officer, Leisure Centre Manager or Physiotherapist.
