What do I study? Two units will be studied: •The English Legal System - including the courts, legal processes, judiciary, legal services •Sources of Law - including precedent, legislation, statutory interpretation What is unique about this subject? The course aims to allow students to explore the various facets of British and European Law. This involves knowing how the elements of British Law work in practice and the theories behind them. You will be expected to work through various cases and procedures in order to increase your knowledge of the legal process and to challenge your outcomes. What skills will I develop? You will develop skills of critique and analysis, using the information you gain from different sources to form and articulate your point of view.
