A Level: Classical Civilisation

UPDATED 20161017 12:54:47

Classics is a fantastic opportunity for you to demonstrate your enthusiasm for literature or ancient history and academic dedication, as well as to gain an extra AS Level (with potential to progress to A2) in a subject that is widely respected by Russell Group universities. At Beauchamp we focus on the literature of Ancient Greece and Rome looking at a range of genres including comedy, tragedy and the epics of Homer and Virgil. As well as being superb preparation for further study in the Classics, a study of Classical Civilisation complements many other popular A-levels including: Art, Drama and Theatre Studies, English Literature, Government and Politics, History, History of Art and Philosophy - as well as the study of the classical languages.
