This course involves the introduction of a variety of Art and Design pathways where students will build their own portfolio of practical based work covering a variety of chosen areas such as, Design Crafts, Ceramics, Fashion & Textiles, Product Design, Visual Arts and Communication. The units focus on encouraging personal development through practical participation in a range of art and design disciplines. To succeed on this course students will need to be self - motivated and organised as they will be expected to take control of their own learning and progress. Students will also need to have an interest in learning new skills within Art and Design and be willing to experiment with new materials.
