Photography is offered as an option from the OCR syllabus for AS & A2 Art & Design. Students who do well in this subject typically: • Have enthusiasm and curiosity for the subject. • Enjoy developing technical and creative skills. • Are keen to experiment with different ideas and a range of techniques. • Have a readiness, not necessarily an existing ability, to explore ideas in a creative and imaginative way. • Are keen to critically appreciate the work of other photographers / artists as part of their research and investigation into various themes and projects. • Put the effort into planning and organising their responses to project aims in great detail. • Have good organisational skills. • Have confident ICT skills (Digital photography, using Photoshop is a major part of the course - however, step by step tuition is given). A financial contribution is required and you will need to complete a form prior to entry.
