Introduction to British Sign Language Level 1

If you have no previous experience of British Sign Language but are thinking about studying towards a BSL Level 1 qualification, this taster course will enable you to find out more about the classroom and the out-of-class requirements. This taster course will introduce you to the Signature (formely CACDP) syllabus for Level 1 in British Sign Language. This qualification is designed to enable you to communicate with deaf people in British Sign Language on a range of topics that involve simple everyday language use. Subject to tutor's agreement. Not on this course but you can then progress to the one-year British Sign Language Level 1 course to achieve the certificate.
