UPDATED 20161017 10:40:33

This course is an opportunity to personalise your learning and extend your knowledge and skills in ways that are challenging and new to you. If you already have a strong drive to pursue a certain career or undergraduate course, this qualification would provide evidence of your early commitment by allowing you to develop valuable expertise. Students aiming for places at the most prestigious universities would find it a distinct advantage to be able to discuss their extended project in UCAS applications and university interviews. Students wishing to study law, medicine or veterinary science are strongly advised to consider the second option as useful practice for entrance examinations.
