MITSkills run a successful construction focus study programme for those that are job motivated and are looking for an apprenticeship in the construction industry. The construction business in the Soth East has a shortage of skills and working with employers we look to learner wanting to become an electricians apprentice. Currently we offer the PEO 1 to give candidates the skills to work towards gaining employment in a level 2 craft electrical/ or plumbing apprenticeship based on the successful PEO2 qualification. Candidates individual learning aims reflect the preapprentice focus and most include workplacement aims Entry to the Construction industry now requires that all candidates pass a safety exam resulting in a CSCS card this allows employers to hire staff with a understanding of safety, we are a CSCS centre and can help you to prepare for this exam. The Study programme offers a chance to improve Maths and English skills for those without C in GCSE maths or a C in GCSE English.
