The course is diverse in content, covering Classical Music, Popular Music and Jazz. It allows students to study Music as a practical, intellectual and creative subject covering a range of musical style with a variety of opportunities for performance and composition work. Students are expected to read and listen around the subject alongside the taught content and to participate in extra-curricular music activities. You should have an interest in developing your music-making skills and be open to discovering new styles of music both through teacher-led discovery and independent enquiry. Students are likely to have shown a high degree of commitment to music throughout their school career and will be expected to continue this in the Sixth Form through participation in extra-curricular activities
