Pure Mathematics includes Algebra, Graphs, Trigonometry, Calculus, numerical methods, co-ordinate Geometry, Exponentials and Logarithms. Statistics includes Probability, Representation and summary of data, correlation and regression. secure understanding of all aspects of the Higher Level GCSE is necessary. In particular, confident understanding and handling of algebraic topics such as Quadratic Factorisation, Simultaneous Equations and Algebraic Fraction manipulation is essential, as these skills form the backbone of most 'A' Level Mathematics. If you don't like Algebra, then 'A' Level Mathematics is not for you!
