There is a high demand for skilled qualified technicians. This qualification covers activities relating to service technicians in the majority of garages, maintenance depots and dealers. The candidate can choose whether to work with light vehicles or heavy vehicles (Cars or Lorries). The Apprentice will complete the following: •QCF Certificate in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Level 3 •Certificate in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Level 3 Functional Skills Level 2 in: •Mathematics •English •Information Technology •Personal Learning and Thinking Skills. The programme is broken down into eight units and all candidates must cover the following units: •Ensure your own actions reduce risks to Health and Safety •Maintain positive working relationships •Carry out routine vehicle servicing •Remove and refit engine units and components •Remove and refit electrical auxiliary units and components •Remove and refit vehicle chasses units and components
