A Level Geography

UPDATED 20161013 12:17:07

A Level in Geography. Geography is, by nature, a hugely diverse subject and is one that everyone engages with on a day-to-day basis. For example, we all eat food that is either grown or originates from all four corners of the globe, iPhones were conceptualised in the USA and have parts manufactured in countries as diverse as Taiwan and France but are transported to the UK in cargo ships made in South Korea. We see on the news the mass migrations to Europe as a result of war and poverty and we can even be “trapped” on a Mediterranean holiday island by an unpronounceable erupting Icelandic volcano! Thus we can see that Geography is a global subject and through studying geography at A-level students develop a deep understanding the issues that this diverse subject creates.
