If you are creative and self-motivated person, Drama and Theatre Studies is perfect for you. The course is designed to allow you to develop in both your critical analysis and performance. The course is challenging and allows you to study a wide range theatrical styles.The course aims to help students pursue their interests and develop their skills in a range of practical Drama elements including; acting, directing, costume, setting, mask and technical design. The course offers students the freedom to choose both the content and the form of their practical presentations at each Level: AS and A2. On the course, students will develop work relative to style / practitioner with assessment taking place continually to allow for progression. Essentially, the course is a deeper exploration into theatre allowing for personal development into various areas of Drama, be that either Theatre or Film. The Course consists of four units taken over the duration of the A2. This includes two formal examinations, and two course work pieces each consisting of exploration notes and performance / contribution to performance.
