Aims of the CourseThis course aims to help you to start speaking Italian in order to get more from your visit to a Italian speaking country. You will learn and practise some of the language needed to deal with day-to-day situations and gain confidence in understanding what is being said to you. Greet people and start a conversation; Understand numbers and able to write telephone numbers and addresses when told verbally .Hold a basic conversation getting to know someone and talking about your life including family job and homeAbout the Course:This course can form the first part of the accredited syllabus if you wish. Learning will happen in a relaxed atmosphere with a small group of learners. The Library has books available to borrow to support this course.No previous knowledge or experience is required. You will need to bring a notepad and pen.This Course could lead to: Italian for Beginners 2 and 3 through Learning in Libraries or enrolment at a local FE college for a longer course; Library staff can advise on local Italian language groups or the support they can give in establishing such a group; Other Language courses
