Product Design: Fashion Textiles AS/A Level 3

AS Level This course in Product Design – Fashion Textiles follows a creative process of producing a product from research through to evaluation. Students will be given the opportunity to expand practical skills with regular ‘hands on’ tasks. A high level of ICT, organisation and presentation skills are important. Students will be required to produce design folios as well as products that can be tested and evaluated. An in depth study of materials and components used in the textiles industry, textiles marketing and product promotion as well as fashion will form part of the course. A Level The A Level course further extends knowledge, understanding and skills acquired in the AS course. The level of sophistication, depth and quality of work will be higher than at AS. Textiles provide students with the freedom and opportunity to express creative and innovative designs.
