UPDATED 20161012 13:00:47

Choosing to continue your education at Sixth Form level will give you the chance to pursue your interest in subjects which interest you at a higher level. As a Sixth Form student we want you to be able to realise your academic potential, whilst developing the personal and social skills which will equip you for life beyond education. We also want to ensure you are given every support in planning your chosen route past Sixth Form education, whether it is to university or to full time employment. Both tutor groups and subject classes remain small and entirely able to focus on you as an individual and, as a result, staff are able to support you as an individual. In textles you will study fashion, looking at past, present and future designers to gain inspiration. Textiles is about the creation of new fashion garments that people will buy. It includes appearance and function, design, decorative techniques styling and studies the balance between manufacturing and creativity. Styling and function are crucial to commercial success and through textiles you will gain a thorough understanding of the processes involved in turning ideas into attractive and useful garments. You will develop your creativity and technical expertise.
