Choosing to continue your education at Sixth Form level will give you the chance to pursue your interest in subjects which interest you at a higher level. As a Sixth Form student we want you to be able to realise your academic potential, whilst developing the personal and social skills which will equip you for life beyond education. We also want to ensure you are given every support in planning your chosen route past Sixth Form education, whether it is to university or to full time employment. Both tutor groups and subject classes remain small and entirely able to focus on you as an individual and, as a result, staff are able to support you as an individual. Media studies opens up opportunities for employment in journalism, media, law and many more professions. It also makes employment links with the following sectors: Technology, the creative arts and communication. As the world continues to become more media/technology driven every profession is finding it more essential to have staff who are media literate and proficient at media production. Students that go onto university study degress in media production, digital media and communication.
