The course will enable you to further explore the key areas of music through the study of harmony and composition, performance, and the history of music through set works. This will give you an in-depth knowledge of the development and construction of music whilst also allowing you to work to your areas of strength in both composition and performance. This course will be taught through a mixture of techniques such as practical listening exercises and performance opportunities. Analysis work will involve working with written notes and looking at musical scores and harmony exercises, whilst practising the techniques learned in class.
