Pottery Workshop - Beginners

Our Pottery Workshops for Beginners are basic courses suitable for those with little or no experience of working with clay. You will learn hand building techniques and how to use the potter's wheel. There are 5 wheels (4 electric and 1 kick-wheel) which students will use when required. Other work will be completed on the worktops of the studio. Glazing and decorative techniques will also be taught. Students will be making ceramic items that can be used in the home and garden. A College Certificate may be awarded.All students will complete practical work. There will be some tutor demonstrations and individual tuition.Students can progress to our experienced workshops which suit those familiar with pottery and allow the opportunity to develop your work as you wish.
