Advanced Apprenticeship in Accounting - Day Release

The Apprenticeship includes units relating to; accounts preparation, preparation of final accounts for sole traders and partnerships, cost and revenues, indirect tax, spreadsheet software and professional ethics You will achieve a Level 3 Diploma in Accounting is awarded by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT). The AAT is an internationally recognised professional body. Unless exempt on entry, you will also achieve Level 2 Functional Skills qualifications in English and maths.You will learn through a combination of on- and off-the-job training. You will attend college one day per week during term time and spend the rest of your time earning and learning in the workplace. The Apprenticeship has a minimum duration of 12 months. Your progress will be continuously monitored and supported by an Apprenticeship Achievement Officer. Advanced apprentices, with support and opportunities in the workplace, can progress onto the Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Accounting; or onto a more senior role such as Accounts Manager. Advanced apprentices may also progress onto higher education and/or entry onto qualifications relating to memberships in the following professional bodies: Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA).
