The course is built up of a number of units of which some are practical and some are knowledge based. There is also a common environmental unit which is a requirement for access to any apprenticeships. The course is assessed by means of online exams, written assessments and practical assessments.The course is taught 1 day a week for 2 yearsSatisfactory completion of this 2 year course will allow access to the Level 3 course
