Introductory Diploma in IT

During the first year of the course you will be completing IT Fundamentals, in which you will study Computer Hardware, Computer Software, Business IT Systems, Employability and Communication in an IT environment, Ethical, Operational and Legal issues related to IT along with Global Information, in which you will be studying how data is held and transmitted Globally, styles, classification and management of Global information, the benefits to individuals of global information, the legal framework relating to global information and the security of this. Both of these are externally examined units. On the successful completion of year 1 you will build upon the work you have done with a further 3 units, all of which are internally assessed. These may vary from year to year depending on the needs of the group of students. These will follow a particular pathway selected by your teacher from one of the following options: Data Analyst, Applications Developer, Emerging Digital Technology Practitioner or IT Infrastructure Technician.
