The course comprises four units: Mathematical Processes involves problem-solving and mathematical modelling, as well as building mathematical arguments using mathematical language Pure Mathematics extends your GCSE work on topics such as algebra, graphs, sequences and trigonometry and introduces new topics such as calculus and logarithms Mechanics includes studying kinematics, working with forces and motion using Newton's laws, working with moments and solving problems involving friction and gravity Statistics includes working with data to make inferences, carrying out probability calculations and hypothesis testing, using the binomial and normal distributions.
