The course comprises four units - Human Interactions explores human rights and global migrations, social inequality and economic change. Physical Systems investigates coastal environments and Earth's life support systems, such as the carbon and hydrological cycle. Geographical Debates covers tectonic hazards and the management of disease around the world. Investigative Geography involves conducting primary research, leading to the creation of a report on a geographical issue of your choice. To prepare you for the investigative unit, you will carry out fieldwork during a residential visit in the UK. There is also the option for a field-trip to Iceland every other year.
