Engineering and Technology - Mechanical and Electronic - Level 2

You'll learn mechanical and electronic engineering principles. Units will include Engineering Environment Awareness, Engineering Techniques, Engineering Principles, Turning and Milling Techniques ,Electronic Systems and Devices and Understanding Computer Aided Drawing (CAD). Our fully fitted workshops are equipped with up to date technology replicating industry allowing us to provide hands on practical experience within the Engineering sector; this combined with professional industry trained teaching staff ensures high success rates and multiple progression routes. You can look forward to the opportunity to take part in inter-college skills competitions at local and national level and the chance of work experience with leading community partners such as Cummins and Emco Wheaton. This Study Programme will include English and Maths at an appropriate level, and it will support the development of skills towards employability and suitability to progress onto the next level of study.
