Develop your ability to work in the Health and Social Care sector. You will develop a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for success in working life and further study. The course covers topics such as: - understanding service provision - understanding principles and values - protection and safeguarding - equality and inclusion - human growth and development - introduction to dementia - communication with adults and children - personal and social relationships The course runs three days a week for one year. You will also study Functional Skills in maths and English or ESOL and do a work experience placement for which you will need a DBS.
