Dip in Caring for Children

If you would like to develop a career in childcare and work with children from birth to 6 years this course is ideal. You will learn about areas of child development, safeguarding, employability skills, health and safety of young children. You will be assessed through a mixture of practical activities and written tasks. Maths and English is an important part of the course. As part of this course, you will also undertake the Personal Social Development (PSD) Level 1 Award.

All the units are internally assessed using a range of methods which could include written assignments or tasks by designing leaflets, booklets, charts or information sheets. You will get ongoing verbal and written feedback from your tutors on your work. You must achieve a pass for all the units to gain the full qualification.
