This course is suitable for those seeking to work professionally in the wide area of health and social care or progressing to a relevant HE programme. A minimum of 200 hours of work placement is an essential component of this full time course and students will be expected to study in college or be in work placement 5 days per week.It gives a sound understanding of the values, skills and attitudes required to work in health and social care.In year two of the programme, students will specialise by either taking a HEALTH or a CARE pathway. The health pathway is essential preparation for nursing and other professions allied to medicine. The care pathway is a route into social work and other social care roles.,
