Philosophy (new specification from September 2014 which has received Ofqual accreditation) - AQA Advanced Subsidiary Level What is Philosophy at A Level? Literally, Philosophy is the Love of knowledge and is the critical study of some of the big questionâ in life. As an A Level, the course covers the themes of Epistemology (the Theory of Knowledge), the Philosophy of Mind and questions relating to morality, God, reason, freedom, reality, doubt and truth, as well as Philosophy of Religion and Moral Philosophy.
