However there are some topics that you will have to cover through individual study away from classes, guided by the course book. You should expect to spend several hours per week outside class time carrying out additional study. The assessment for this course falls into two parts: You will sit three exams, one each on the Physics, Biology and Chemistry content - each exam is one hour long and will be taken at the end of the course You will complete a number of externally set assignments to test understanding of the investigative process. These are carried out during lesson time and involve carrying out a simple practical investigation and reflecting on its outcome.
