Acrylic Painting - Techniques for Beginners/Improvers

The aim of this course is for you to develop an understanding of the use of different materials and techniques through a series of fun and explorative exercises. There will be an element of drawing to help ensure that sketched outlines are accurate in shape and proportion in preparation for painting. We will also cover colour mixing and the importance of the use of tone and texture when painting in Acrylics. Sessions will be taught through demonstrations, class discussion and one to one support. The aim of the course is to develop your confidence in painting whilst having fun unleashing your creativity!

Entry requirements

This could be a starter pack that includes primary colours (Red, Yellow and Blue), white and black.3) A set of brushes suitable for acrylic paint. This could be a starter pack that includes both round and flat brushes in various sizes. 4) Flat palette or old plate (preferably white).5) Water pot/cup.6) Kitchen towel sheets.7) 2B pencil, sharpener and putty rubber/soft eraser. Other materials needed during the course will be discussed in advance of the lesson where those materials will be needed.
