Computing is about understanding how computer systems work. Computers pervade every aspect of modern life. The microprocessor which lies at the heart of every computing system is found absolutely everywhere, from the PC on your desk to laptops, PDAs, mobile phones, cars and microwave ovens. At the end of the course you will have an excellent understanding of how it all works. The A level in Computing is varied, interesting and challenging. You need to have a logical mind and be good at Mathematics because computing involves programming which is a logical and sometimes mathematical discipline.
