The duration of the course is 2 years. Year one (year 12) students will spend their time developing their existing skills in CAD/CAM, design and manufacture. Theory lessons will also be delivered on a weekly basis. A mock exam in year 12 will be used to identify weakness in subject knowledge . Students will be encouraged and supported to work independently and innovatively. Students will get regular feedback throughout the first year on what grade they are working at. Year 12 is a year to develop students skills and will not go towards their final A-Level result. Students will have regular feedback and assessment of what grade they are working at. Year 13 students will complete a in depth design and make task that will form part of their A Level. All exams are at the end of year 13.
