What is it? For those with a passion for mathematics, this course will develop your understanding of fundamental ideas with the introduction of complex numbers and matrices. You will also study applied units to discover new areas of interest. What will I study? Proof. Complex Numbers. Matrices. Further algebra and functions. Further calculus. Further vectors. Polar Coordinates. Hyperbolic functions. Differential Equations. In addition to these, there are a choice of additional modules. These will be selected with the cohort. Assessment: You will be assessed at the end of the second year, 100% examination. Where does it lead? An A-level in further mathematics will help in degrees in mathematics, physics, engineering and computing.
