Entry Level Certificate in Construction Skills

This course will give you the opportunity to progress onto a specific Construction Level 1 course. Whilst primarily aimed at school leavers, the course is open to anyone who wishes to pursue employment in the construction industry. This course is as flexible as possible with the majority of time spent in a practical environment. The course will include; Demonstrations, Practical workshops, Theory, Assignments, Job related knowledge, Project work. Areas of work include basic; Plastering, Bricklaying, Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing and Safe Working Practices.

The course is assessed by: - Observation of your work. - Accreditation of prior learning. - Questions asked of you at a time and place that meets your needs. - Completion of job knowledge and learning packs. - Practical synoptic tests. All assessment is continuous and an integral part of the training process and takes place throughout the whole course year.
