A Level Chemistry will give you an exciting insight into the contemporary world of chemistry. It will quickly build on ideas studied at GCSE such as bonding, equations, rates, energy, organic chemistry and reactions of acids and bases. Practical skills are integrated throughout the course.You will learn about chemistry in a range of different context and the impact it has on industry and many aspects of everyday life. You will learn to investigate and solve problems in a range of contexts. Chemistry is, from the outset, a fast paced course which will use and improve your numerical and analytical skills. It requires a commitment to study throughout the course, with a significant element dedicated to factual learning. However, it becomes most interesting when these ideas are applied to new problems and this is the skill that we will develop as this is what brings the subject to life.
