The Art department at King's Norton Boys' School aims to provide students with a highly enjoyable course which encourages creativity and gives multiple opportunities for pupils to demonstrate and enhance their skills, knowledge and understanding in a wide variety of different 2D and 3D media. This course will give students a greater understanding of Art and Design through the practise of a variety of different skills and techniques. Students will have the opportunity to develop their own practical skills and deepen their understanding of artists related to their project work. Students are encouraged to research independently and pursue their own interests within the topics that are provided for them. Students will have the opportunity to go on visits organised by the Art department to collect important information for their work. Percentage examination: 40% Percentage coursework: 60%
