This programme is aimed at those interested in pursuing a career in sports coaching and/or Sports Development. You will study a range of practical and theory based units that will give you the knowledge and skills to prepare sessions that introduce and lead people in an activity make sure the working environment is healthy and safe and promote people's personal and social development. You will get the opportunity to apply the skills you learn within local schools leisure centres professional sports clubs and multi-sports organisations. This qualification will provide you with excellent foundations to progress directly into the workplace. This qualification will form part of a study programme which will include exclusive access to our Sports Academy and Enrichment programme Maths & English Tutorial support Work Experience and development of employability and study skills. Maths and English is a fundamental element of this study programme and skills in these areas will be embedded into your vocational learning. In addition if you do not have a grade C in Maths and/or English you will attend a discrete GCSE or Functional Skills class as part of your weekly timetable.
